January 13th - Delphine's First Night in Oakland
What does Delphine decide about Oakland her first night there?
After Delphine first night in Oakland, she thinks it was not good. Her mom was very mean. For example, when she slapped Delphine it was disrespectful. So that’s what made her first night horrible. By Darron Howard and Narvin Centeno Stocking Elementary school 5th grade
Her first day in Oakland was not good. She got to talk to Big Ma on the collect call but got yelled at. Her mom wanted to get rid of them in Mexico. The mom took money from Dephine. Her mom and the Black Panthers were yelling and arguing back and forth, so they did some spy stuff. She feels like they don’t belong there because their mom tried to pawn them off.
