Names play an important role in the story. How does Cecile feel about names?

  1. Cicile feels strongly about name because in page 77 she says and I quote “If I change why would I would I keep my old name”. I can see where she is going because she I would do the same. Well when I’m 18. But wouldn’t you if you changed enough.

  3. I think Cecile feels strong about names. She seems to know a lot about them she said her name Nzilla means the path in Yoruba language. It also serves as a code name for the black panthers.

  5. Cecile doesn’t really like the same name because she changes her name a lot. She likes her name, but she don’t like names that are old. She likes to change her name a lot. Cecile don’t like fern`s name so she wants to call her something else.

  6. Cecile feels about names that if you don’t like your name you can change your name like she did. And also what your name means. Like her name was Cecile now her name is Nzila, and her name means Yoruba for the paths.

  10. Cecile feels the names are like the only thing that means what you are and not what you were back in your past life. Cecile was a mother to 3 children and she stayed home, but now she is a black panther and her name is N`zilla and she lives in California.
